Worn & Reborn

the no-fees thing, explained

No fees. No catch.

The big resale apps love to say they're “free.” They're not. They quietly slid the fees onto you, the buyer, and dressed it up as “Buyer Protection.” So the exact same second-hand piece costs you more over there. Here's the maths on a £20 item:

wherefee they add (you pay)you pay
Worn & Reborn£0 — none, ever£20.00
eBay“Buyer Protection” ~7% + 10p~£21.40
Vinted“Buyer Protection” ~5% + 70p~£21.70
Depop“Marketplace fee” up to 5% + £1~£22.00

same £20 item — you save up to £2 buying direct, before postage.

And it's worse than it looks.

On those platforms the seller usually loses another ~3% to payment processing — so they bump their prices to cover it. Here, Nat keeps 100%, takes no card fees, and pays no platform a penny — so she can just price it lower in the first place. You save twice.

Buying direct, you get:

  • No buyer fee, no “protection” surcharge — the price is the price.
  • A real person who'll price-match and sort a deal that works for both of you.
  • Honest condition every time — if it was only tried on, she says so.
  • Customs & alterations, and she'll hunt down things you're after.

Fees shown are typical UK rates as of June 2026 from each platform's own published pricing — they tweak them often (and rarely in your favour). Not affiliated with any of them.
